We talked a few weeks back about how ZUBBit allows you to follow the Uber, Airbnb and Facebook business model by leveraging assets in the form of online content you don’t have to create yourself.
But lets talk now about some practical ways you can do that and help you to start to create some real ZUBBit campaigns.
In this article I’m going to introduce you to a few ideas to get you started but we will add some more niche focused posts over the coming weeks.
First up let’s talk Facebook
We’ve spoken before about using ZUBBit with Facebook in terms of how to do it – which is really easy, but lets talk about some practical examples of how you can start to create some targeted campaigns on Facebook.
The best way to do this is to create targeted communities on Facebook using Facebook Pages and Facebook Groups.
Facebook Pages and groups are a great way of building big audiences but to do it you need content and you also need a way of potentially monetising each and every piece of content. Facebook is also becoming a real content search engine making it easier and easier to find content across People, Pages, Groups and Events.
This example is from searching for “Golf”. We get some great pages back with lots of followers and the same if you look in groups also along with People (only seeing posts from people with their privacy settings to public).
So in this example if you were selling Golf clubs or golfing gear you could set up a custom Golfing Page and Golfing Group and then start sending Golfing related ZUBBit links to those pages and groups.
This will result in two things.
- The more content you are sending to your page and group, then the more people will see it and either follow or join.
- Each and everyone of the content links would also contain a call-to-action and also a retargeting pixel if you want.
Golf is just the example but think about it – you could create custom pages or groups for any niche or topic that is congruent with your business, product or service. We don’t suggest using a business page for this as people won’t be searching Facebook for your business, they will be searching by topic.
Creating a Facebook Page or Group could not be easier and its all step-by-step stuff.
To get started you click on the “Create Page” or “Create Group” links to the left of your Facebook news feed and just follow instructions.
Once you’ve created your Page or Group you can now start posting ZUBBit links into the manually as described in Using ZUBBit with Facebook.
All this is great but it won’t really get you the volume you need to create a following fast and it will take an awful lot of time.
So that’s where ZUBBit RSS comes in!

So to summarise what we’ve gone through, one of the best ways of using ZUBBit on Facebook to create targeted campaigns is to create a custom page and possibly groups too (make sure you make your group public to keep posts visible on search). By doing this you will create really great targeted communities of people who will read and enjoy the content you share and also will be exposed to your call-to-actions and you can track them too using our retargeting pixel functionality.
